Brighton based men’s designer clothing retailer offers small runs from select brands like: Our Legacy, Marc Jacobs, Fjall Raven, Naked & Famous to name a few. They have a shop on Ship Street in central Brighton and also a website selling a few products through Paypal.

The problems we solved:

Hunted had a static HTML website that wasn’t content managed. This meant that every time they wanted to add products to the website or add any news updates they had to pay a designer. They also couldn’t add sections to the site and finally they could only take Paypal payments. The issue the client had with Paypal is the charges that the merchant has to pay. Paypal charges a fee for each transaction on top of the credit card charges.

How we did it:

Hunted is a small business without resources or budget to pay for regular website updates or a complex content management system. With this in mind we purchased an eCommerce theme for WordPress. Design is everything for Hunted, so we designed a completely bespoke look and feel for their website and applied this to the eCommerce theme in WordPress. The interface had to be clean and minimal to showcase the products on offer.

One of the objectives of the project was to allow for additional payment methods including credit card payments and integration with Hunted’s own WorldPay payment gateway so that transactions could be made directly into their merchant account. We also integrated a Mailchimp sign up form into the theme so the client could easily manage email marketing campaigns. The site also makes use of JQuery to display larger product images and a homepage slider that cycles through different featured products.
