Powercube.net is a resource for understanding power relations in efforts to bring about social change. This project was commissioned by the prestigious Institute of Development Studies based at Sussex University. John Gaventa and his team created a 150 page academic document that needed to be brought to life as a website.

The problems we solved:

We helped visualise the Powercube in an intuitive way that anyone could understand. We helped the IDS team better understand their audience and restructured the word document into a usable website architecture.

How we did it:

The team conducted comprehensive user interviews that were developed into personas and user journeys. This process helped to keep the audience in mind when making design decisions. We created an interactive visualisation of the Powercube which clearly demonstrates the concept. We delivered a custom WordPress theme with a clean highly legible design.
